MCO - Day 17

3 April 2020     Day 17 of Movement Control Order

Another positive outcome of the MCO is stronger ties between neighbours. We have always enjoyed a good relationship with the family on our left, but as we are busy with our own lives, we rarely socialise and make small talk. During this MCO, we actually made a point to see if the other party is in need of anything. When I went out to the pharmacy, I enquired if Mrs. Lee required any items. And two days ago, Mr. Lee whatsapped me to ask if I needed any seafood as he was ordering some from his regular fishmonger, who was willing to deliver to our houses for a small fee.
As a result, I was able to serve hubby with these really big and fresh prawns tonight. RM65 yielded 26 of these little monsters, and I kept half for another meal. It was sheer delight to see hubby savouring each crustacean.

“Aren’t we all great beauties? Look at our glistening succulent orange flesh!”

Some time during the afternoon, whilst at work, hubby sent me a picture of steamed brinjals that we had earlier. He was dropping a hint. I was surprised at the telepathy that we seemed to share, as that was exactly what I had in mind for tonight.
