MCO 2.0 - Day 24

Day 24 of Movement Control Order 2.0

2 December 2020

In 4 more days, this partial lockdown period (Conditional Movement Control Order) is scheduled to end, and tomorrow Malaysians will find out whether there will be an extension. At present, there are four areas in Ipoh that are under Enhanced Movement Control Order, which strictly forbids movement in and out of the areas concerned. Two of those areas, B Zone and C Zone in Taman Meru 2C, were originally placed under EMCO from 20 November till tomorrow. It has now been announced that the full lockdown will be extended until 10 December. The other two areas, Taman Klebang Jaya and Taman Pinji Mewah have been placed under EMCO from 1 to 14 December.

When I first made onion omelette in our early days of marriage, hubby was not impressed. He couldn't understand how his wifey could delight in mere eggs and onions, meatless. But over the years, he has witnessed the sheer joy on his wifey's face when she pairs the humble onion omelette with white rice. Gradually, he too has learned to fall for the modest onion omelette, and now, very often, he would even request for that.

Onion Omelette

Upon buying my first jar of XO sauce during the previous MCO, I tried out a recipe that I came across in one of the blogs : Steamed Pork Ribs with Black Beans and XO Sauce. It's an easy dish to cook, and very flavourful too.

A dish of umami goodness

For greens, we had Stir-fried Siew Pak Choy with Fried Garlic. This is definitely not my vegetable of choice, but hubby loves it.
