Day 01 of Enhanced Movement Control Order
The 14-day EMCO in Ipoh takes effect today but there were no barbed wires in sight. It was reported in the news that the city centre was literally a "ghost town" as there were very few vehicles on the road. After all the panic buying and hoarding for the past 2 days, the market was quiet today and there were fresh food supplies aplenty. My Ketua Rumah ventured out to the Canning Garden wet market for our usual weekly shopping and now my freezer is well-stocked.
Delighted to have a wide array of protein supplies to choose from, I decided to braise chicken with oyster mushrooms and cook angled luffa with prawns. A simple yet tasty dinner.
