MCO - Day 19

5 April 2020     Day 19 of Movement Control Order

After being given a one-day reprieve from kitchen duty, I was back behind the stove with gusto. I was a little out of ideas on what new dishes to serve and scoured the Internet for some help. I stumbled upon an interesting blog, Red House Spice, written by a British Chinese journalist, and was attracted to one of her recipes, Spicy Orange Beef Stir Fry.

The use of orange juice to marinade as well as to make the sauce really lends a sweet, sour and juicy flavour to the dish - yummy! This recipe should work well with chicken too, but hubby chose to have beef. As I am not a big fan of beef, I took delight in the fact that the tangy orange juice helped mask the strong beefy smell. Is this a recipe for keeps? Oh, definitely!

    1. Yeah, I don’t really fancy beef either. It’s hubby who likes it. Yes, u can try this as the orange smell helps to subdue the smell of beef
