MCO - Day 48

4 May 2020     Day 48 of Movement Control Order

They call it Conditional Movement Control Order, with a lot of rules being relaxed and many returning to work today. Like everyone else, I pray that we will still be vigilant and will not let down our guard because the Safe Zone is still a long trek away. I hope a mountain will not loom out during the long haul as it may be a more arduous one to scale and may not be surmountable for many.

Dinner tonight was a porcine affair. We had Maggi Pork Chops (美极猪扒) and Pork Ribs with Beans and Nuts Soup (猪骨花生豆汤). Fearing the quantity of protein may not be enough for hubby, I steamed some prawn siew mai. The recipe of the Maggi Pork Chops is from one of the bilingual Yum Yum cookbooks.

Dinner is served, darling!

Derrick seemed to enjoy these Maggi Pork Chops

These were the beans and nuts used in the soup. Cranberry beans  (珍珠豆) are on the top. Bottom left are black eyed beans (眉豆) and peanuts are on the bottom right.
